ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT

AI Explorers is committed to making our website and learning Service usable by as many people as possible, including students and parents with disabilities. We treat accessibility as an ongoing responsibility, not a one-time project.

OUR TARGET

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of abilities, including visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive disabilities.

WHAT WE'VE DONE

• Used semantic HTML and ARIA attributes where appropriate.
• Maintained sufficient color contrast for body text and key UI elements.
• Made every interactive control reachable and operable from the keyboard.
• Provided text alternatives for our logo and decorative imagery.
• Structured headings, lists, and forms for assistive-technology compatibility.

WHAT WE'RE STILL WORKING ON

We test continuously and know there is more to do. Areas of active improvement include captioning all course videos, expanding keyboard-only navigation patterns, and improving focus indicators on a few legacy screens. If you encounter a specific barrier, please tell us — your feedback meaningfully shapes priorities.

ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY COMPATIBILITY

The Service is designed to work with current versions of common assistive technologies on supported browsers, including screen readers (VoiceOver, NVDA, JAWS), browser zoom up to 200%, and operating-system-level high-contrast modes. We test on Safari, Chrome, Firefox, and Edge.

THIRD-PARTY AI TOOLS

Our lessons reference and discuss third-party AI tools made by other companies — for example, OpenAI (ChatGPT), Anthropic (Claude), Google (Gemini), Microsoft (Copilot), Midjourney, and ElevenLabs. These tools are not part of the AI Explorers Service; their interfaces, content, and accessibility behavior are controlled by the companies that make them.

AI Explorers' WCAG 2.1 AA target applies to aiexplorers.academy itself — our lessons, quizzes, dashboards, and account flows. The accessibility level of third-party AI tools may be different from ours, and we cannot guarantee that any given third-party tool will meet the same standard. If you or your student encounters an accessibility barrier on a third-party tool, please report it to that company directly using the contact information in their accessibility or support pages. If the barrier prevents your student from completing one of our lessons, contact us as well — we will work in good faith to find an equivalent way for them to learn the material.

REQUESTING ACCOMMODATION

If any part of AI Explorers is preventing you or your student from learning, contact us. We will work with you to provide an equivalent experience or alternative format. Please tell us:

• The page or feature you were trying to use (URL is helpful).
• The barrier you encountered.
• The assistive technology and browser you are using, if applicable.

We aim to acknowledge accommodation requests within 3–5 business days with either a resolution, a workaround, or a clear plan and timeline. Some fixes can be made within hours; others — especially those that require us to update a video, retest assistive technologies, or coordinate with a third-party provider — may take longer. We will keep you posted while a request is open.
